DINK Travels looks at the restaraunts that really fit the bill. We rate based on ambiance, food and adult orientation. We don't like places that are loud because they are poorly designed. We want to talk with our DINK friends and not hear the kitchen. The acoustics are part of the DINK formula too. Food, price and location count too.
Hotels may seem like a funny catagory for DINK travels. The editors decided to include it when we tried to get a single queen or king bed at a resort and couldn't. the double full is great for saving a couple bucks with young kids but DINKS like thier space. The extra bed is paying for wasted space and we think most DINKs want a King!
Kona Hawaii, Sitting on the nearly empty deck at Don the Beachcombers at Sunset is something to take advantage of. Kona like all cities that depend on tourism is very slow this year and the lack of crowds make a great vacation....
No trip to Hawaii is complete without the first class experience of a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tour. These guys have it down to a fine art. Thier custome built helicopters feature Bose Noise cancelling headsets...
The folks at the Flying Beaver in Seattle can take you for a quick hop over to Vancouver Island where stunning sights and wonderful dining await. High Tea at the Victorian will slow anyone down.
